Hornets vs Clippers

The Hornets lost their fourth straight game Sunday night in Los Angeles against the Clippers. This game was back and forth throughout the first 36 minutes and 87 – 89 Clippers going into the fourth quarter. The Hornets started the quarter on fire behind tough buckets from guard Terry Rozier and forward Miles Bridges and seemed in full control of the momentum going up 102 – 93 with 6:07 minutes to go.

Things changed when Kelly Oubre was charged with a flagrant foul on Clippers center Ivica Zubac. Zubac’s free throws started a 22-0 Clippers run that spanned 4:53 and put the Clippers up 115 – 102 with 1:14 remaining. The Hornets wound up losing the game 106 – 130.

Besides the horrible 5:00 span in the fourth quarter, this game was very fun to watch and I was happy to see the all-around effort our guys gave. Our five main scorers; LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, Miles Bridges, and Kelly Oubre combined for 90 points which was the most so far this season.

My player of the game tonight was Miles Bridges who had 21 points 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Bridges continued his great start to the season despite shooting struggles in the first half. He and Terry Rozier led our offense which kept us in the game in the early stages of the fourth quarter while LaMelo Ball was on the bench (until the game began to fall apart).

This was another tough loss, but hopefully, we can end this losing streak against the Los Angles Lakers on the same court.
