Hornets vs Cavaliers

When LaMelo Ball got his second foul early in the first quarter and Darius Garland was cooking us offensively I got worried, like usual, that we were going to blow it.

Thankfully the Hornets tightened up there D, played with heart and energy the next 2 1/2 quarters, and we blew out the Cavs on their home floor. Despite Melo having one of the worst performances of his young career, with only 2 points, the rest of the squad showed up without him on the floor. A true team effort.

Our energy was sensational tonight, both on the floor and on the bench. I have to give a special shout-out to Terry Rozier who has been consistently showing up and playing his heart out during this rough stretch. Rozier had another sensational game in his home state dropping 29 points.  You can tell everyone feeds off his energy.

Another guy that gave us a lot of leadership tonight was vertebrae guard Isaiah Thomas who we just signed to a 10-day contract. IT came off the bench and made a big impact scoring 10 points in 14 minutes. His energy is infectious and I look forward to watching him get more play. We needed a veteran guard who was going to provide advice to Ball and I think we got that in Thomas. Hopefully he can stick around and we can keep playing like we played tonight.
