Hornets vs Warriors

The Hornet’s long road trip in California tipped off a tough start with a loss against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Unlike most of the games, this season the Hornets had a strong first half start and bad second half. Emerging star forward Miles Bridges had a sensational 21 point first half and the Hornets held Steph Curry to only 5 points in the first two quarters. The Hornets were down 53 – 52 as they went into the locker room likely feeling confident.

Whatever pep talk the Warriors got at the half lit a fire and they destroyed the Hornets in the second half, outscoring them 61 – 40. The Hornets once again had shooting woes and didn’t get significant scoring from Terry Rozier, LaMelo Ball or Kelly Oubre. Starting small forward Gordon Hayward did have a solid game finishing with 23 and 11 rebounds on 8 – 15 shooting.

My player of the game is Miles Bridges who showed the world what type of player he’s becoming. He did everything on the court for us tonight ending the game with 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 threes. Gordon and Miles’ 55 combined points couldn’t carry us to a victory though and we fell to the 6-1 Warriors 92 – 114.

The Hornets continue their road trip on Friday against the Sacramento Kings. I hope we can get more production from the team all-around and the Hornets can get a win in Sacramento.
