Great way to start the playoff push. Hornets vs Raptors
Hornets vs Raptors
The Hornets came out of the All-Star break ready to go head-to-head against the Toronto Raptors. This was a game we really wanted to win because the Raptors are very close to us in the Eastern Conference standings.
Right off the jump the Hornets started fast, getting out in transition, finishing in traffic, and making shots. This is the dynamic offensive energy that I love to see from our team and our defense was also looking pretty solid. At half the Hornets led big, 70-47. I was feeling pretty confident with our chances after the first 24.
In the third quarter, the Hornets didn’t take their foot off the gas, clamping the Raptors defensively and making tough shots. The Hornets led by 36 at the start of the fourth, and that’s when James Borrego decided to put the bench in. The Hornets wound up cruising to an easy 32 point victory in uptown.
The crazy thing about this game was that we didn’t have to rely on our stars, Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball, who only scored 24 points combined, to win this game. Terry Rozier played great, as well as Kelly Oubre, and of course Montrezl Harrell.
The Hornets just looked reenergized tonight. They were having fun and smiling, making highlight plays, and everyone knows that is when the Hornets play thier best. I think we have a great chance to make a serious playoff push if we continue to play this way.

Terry Rozier
GuardOver the break our guy Terry went back to his hometown of Youngstown, Ohio to do some community work and spend time with family. He says he was very grateful for the experience to go back and talk to the young children of Youngstown.
