My top ten* must watch games for next season.
Starting off this list is our season opener against the Pacers. This game is a big game for the Hornets mostly because we are trying to get revenge on the team that ended our season last year in the play-in game. Being the season opener it is also a good way to evaluate how the team looks going into the season.
My next must watch game is when we visit the Brooklyn Nets on October 24th. This is our first game against a big time opponent. The Brooklyn Nets have built a powerhouse of a team and this should be a really fun game to watch. That evening we get to see what our guys can do against the big dogs in the east.
On October 29th we play division rival Miami Heat on ESPN. It is always fun to see the Hornets play the Heat because the games are usually very competitive. If you can’t make the game it’ll be nearly as exciting watching the action on ESPN Friday night.
Then we go on a road trip November 3-8 to play four games in California. We will play Golden State, Sacramento and both L.A teams. Three out of these four teams are primed to be championship contenders next season so it will be important to get a few wins this trip, which is why they make my list.
Fast forward to January 8th and 10th when we play at home against the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks. Once again these are big games against a big time opponent. I will really like to see how we guard Finals MVP and 2x MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. It will be big if we can get a win here in at least one of these two back-to-back games.
Last, but not least, is a matchup between the Ball brothers. Hornets will play the Chicago Bulls in primetime on ESPN February 9th. This will be a big game between two teams fighting for playoff positioning in the east.
