Terry Rozier contract extension signals big things to come for the Hornets.
On Tuesday, the Charlotte Hornets extended guard Terry Rozier for four more years. Rozier will be paid $97 million in those four years, which means that he will be making about $115 million the next five seasons. ‘Scary Terry’, as us fans call him, has quietly become one of the most underrated combo guards in the league. Last season he averaged 20.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 45% from the field and 39% behind the arc. In my opinion, this extension is a huge W for the Hornets. Rozier is the perfect backcourt mate for LaMelo Ball, mainly because of his elite scoring ability and non-ball dominant play style. Rozier is only 27 years old and he is only going to get better. To lock him up for 4 more years is a very smart move by the front office and it is something for Hornets fans to look forward to as we work our way to the promised land.
