Successful victory. Hornets vs Wizards
Hornets vs Wizards
With the tough loss to the Hawks behind us, we needed a win against the Wizards and that is just what we did.
While Miles Bridges struggled to get going on offense his guards did what good players do and more than made up for it. LaMelo Ball continued walking that near triple-double tight rope with 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists. He has perfected his midrange floater, making guarding him increasingly more difficult. Will he pull up for a deep 3, drive and dish, drive and hit that floater, or show his incredible agility and take it up and under for a lay-in? Oh, and he can drive and dunk too!
Even with all that Ball did, my player of the game tonight goes to Terry Rozier. Watching him get into a rhythm is one of the reasons why I love this sport. Among his 32 points were 8 of 11 from behind the arc, including a clutch shot to pretty much seal the game. I think the three most excited people were Mr. Rozier, myself, and announcer Eric Collins who exclaimed that Rozier hit that shot with “The guts of a cat burglar!”
I can’t wait to welcome my boys home on Friday night. See you there!
