Hornets vs Bulls

I definitely got my hopes up early on this one. We were playing so well in the first quarter, our energy was great, we were killing it on defense and taking (and making) smart shots. But then we fell apart. We stopped making shots and it looked like we were letting Demar Derozan and Zach Lavine get any bucket they wanted.

After the second quarter, we played from behind for the remainder of the game. Demar Derozan absolutely destroyed our defense and finished with 36 points which was, in my opinion, the main reason they won.

If there was one bright spot from this game it would be our all-star LaMelo Ball who finished with 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. I hope that James Borrego sees what happens when you give your all-star and franchise player all-star minutes.

I’m sorry to say but things need to change. This was our last game before the trade deadline, so hopefully, we make a trade to get a young defensive anchor and lob threat to pair with LaMelo, Miles, and Terry.
