Hornets vs Pistons

One day after the big trade for Montrezl Harrell the Hornets traveled to Detroit to play the Pistons. With hopes to end a dreadful losing streak, the Hornets were greeted in the locker room by the newest addition minutes before the game. The game started back and forth, but when Montrezl checked in the whole tide of the game changed. Harrell knocked down three quick dunks within a few minutes and everyone’s energy improved.

Riding of a strong first half, led by our core three and Harrell and PJ Washington’s presence off the bench, the Hornets cruised to a 22 point win.

This game was great! It made me very happy to see our guys back to playing with joy after what had been a depressing past few games. I loved the energy and effort Harrell brought off the bench, so hopefully, strong play from him will continue throughout the rest of the season.

I have to give a special shout-out to Terry Rozier who recorded just the second triple-double of his career with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Playing with his best friend gave him that extra edge tonight. We can’t get too comfortable with this win, considering we were playing one of the worst teams in the NBA, but if we played how we played tonight against other teams we will do just fine.

Power Forward/Center

When Montrezl got traded to the Hornets he was esthetic and wanted to join the team right away. He flew down on Friday and played with his new team that night. He was the only player that got traded this year to play that soon. Talk about dedication.
