Hornets vs Pacers

The Hornets ended their 4 game homestand with another win  against the Indiana Pacers. The Hornets were in complete control of this game throughout; especially in the first half. The Pacers fought hard to come back and we had to fend off a ferocious fourth quarter. The comeback led by the Pacers bench had me on the edge of my seat.

Our second year point guard LaMelo Ball was my player of the game. Ball dropped a season high 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Aside from becoming the second youngest player in NBA history to lead both teams in points, rebounds and assists in a single game, he did a really good job controlling the game and he made sure we didn’t let the Pacers take it this one from us.

Hornets forward Gordon Hayward also had a very solid game scoring 25 points on 9 – 15 shooting. Cody Martin added a ferocious spark off the bench scoring 12 points, 2 of those being ridiculous poster dunks on Pacers center Goga Bitadze.

The Hornets take off to Atlanta tomorrow night to play Trae Young and our southeastern rival Atlanta Hawks. This game will be the first of a short 3 game trip away from Charlotte.
