Hornets vs Bucks

Going into these two back-to-back games I knew it was going to be tough. We were playing the defending champions and the most dominant player in the league.

In my opinion, these games were won because of two things: defense and confidence. We played the best defense I’ve played all season. Aside from Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring 69 points, the Hornets played excellent defense and held the Bucks to 205 points in both games combined.

Both our defense and offense showed up in crunch time, which leads me to the next reason we won these games: Showing up in the clutch. In the first game, Scary Terry hit a clutch three pointer with 40 seconds left that put us up by 7 and iced the game. Once I saw the ball leave Terry’s hands I knew it was in, because that’s just what he does! Two days later LaMelo Ball hit a game winning floater with 15 seconds left. Confidence in crunch time is clutch and our time has it.

Terry Rozier earned my player of the game for both these games. In these two games Terry had 55 points and shot 53% from the field. He worked both ends of the court, was unselfish, and showed up when it mattered.

In both games, the Hornets outplayed and outworked the defending champs. As a Hornets fan this is something to be very excited about, especially that both our road trips out west are over and we’ll be playing at home more.
