Unnecessary loss to a bad team. Hornets vs Magic
Hornets vs Magic
The Hornets took a disastrous loss Friday night against the league’s worst, Orlando Magic. Orlando was without 3 key players and on a 10 straight losing streak, but still outplayed a Hornets team that had won 4 straight leading up to this matchup. I actually decided not to go to this game (gotta keep them grades tight!) but I was confident the Hornets would beat this team. Boy was I wrong. The Magic came out determined to upset us and they did.
They hit difficult shots, played much better defense, aggressively got out in transition, and made the Hornets pay. It was really hard for me to watch because I knew the Hornets could have played better. Honestly, to me, this shows how important a sniper off the bench like Kelly Oubre is to a team.
Most of this game was back and forth. The Hornets did take control early in the third after LaMelo Ball made some spectacular back-to-back plays, but the Magic made more shots and played much better defense late in the third and early in the fourth, which eventually led to them taking control of this game.
Oh well, the Hornets just have to shrug this one off and focus on the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

LaMelo Ball
Point GuardBall has solidified himself as an unselfish player, averaging 7+ assists per game. Still a way to go to hit Magic Johnson who averaged 11.2!
