Hornets vs. Nets.
The Hornets played their first big game of the season traveling to Brooklyn to play the Nets. Brooklyn played a better first half led by their superstar forward Kevin Durant who ended up dropping 38. The Hornets seemed to have no answer for KD, but they did a great job locking down the rest of the team, who only scored 57 points. Miles Bridges played sensational, scoring 32 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.
My player of the game was backup point guard Ish Smith who dropped 15 points and led the Hornets on a 32 -17 scoring margin in the fourth quarter. The Hornets got a big win against a title contender and for the first time in franchise history have started our season 3-0.
The Hornets will be back at the hive Monday to meet the Celtics.

Ish Smith
GuardMr. Smith played for Central Cabarrus High School and then Wake Forest before bouncing around the league. He has been on the roster of the Warriors, Suns, Thunder, 76ers, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Pistons, Magic, Bucks, Rockets, and Wizards. Hopefully, he has found his way back to the South and is home for good.
